Dumaresq Dam to Jim Mitchell Park - Dalveen

An update on Dumaresq Dam, I stated in my last blog that there were no toilets at Dumaresq, but I was wrong, there are toilets down by the dam wall.   They were very clean and well maintained.
We have since moved on to Jim Mitchell Park at Dalveen which is 18km north of Stanthorpe.
We encountered quite heavy rain  and fog from Armidale to Glen Innes, then the fog cleared and we just had occasional light drizzle.   We stopped at the Apex park in Deepwater for morning tea then stopped in Tenterfield to have lunch and to shop.     During our trip we encountered two large trucks with Euclid's on the back.    When we were leaving Tenterfield we were behind one truck and it took up both sides of the road through the township.   Police had to remove all the posts along the middle of the road so that the truck could pass through.    Fortunately we were able to get passed just out of town.
We are currently at JIm Mitchell Park, it is very clean with a toilet and dump point, picnic tables.
Water is also available if you have a container to collect it.    We have phone and internet access.  There is more area to park across the railway line.
There was very heavy rain last night, but we were able to park on a grassy area so it is not too muddy.
Today we are having fairly consistant showers.   We will leave here tomorrow and head to Jindalee (Marie's place in Brisbane).
All is going well regarding solar, water and our aerial for phone and internet, very pleased with the set up we have.
Below are some photo's from Dumaresq Dam and Jim Mitchell Park.
